Vocational orientation needs strong parents!
This site is designed to give you guidance on how to walk this path with your child. Various tools and models are used.

The Model of Parental Support for Career Choice
It is based on a scientific model that describes what makes strong parents and guardians effective in career guidance. Depending on where your child is in this process, he or she will need different forms of support.
We distinguish four types of support:

Emotional support
Be wholeheartedly involved!

Instrumental Support
Provide active support!

Factual support
Stay focused!

Needs-Based Support
Focus on your child's interests and goals!
The model is based on extensive surveys of adolescents and parents by the working groups led by Prof. Dr. Thorsten Bührmann (Hamburg Medical School), Prof. Dr. Julia Dietrich (Catholic University of Eichstätt) and Prof. Dr. Bärbel Kracke (Friedrich Schiller University of Jena).
You can read more about the scientific background of the model in this scientific article.
